Welcome to the blog of Réseaux! In this post, we will discuss the best application available to block malicious calls, telemarketing, and spam. The application is called « Orange Téléphone, » and I will show you how it works.
To begin, you need to visit your app store and download the Orange Téléphone application. Although it is developed by the telecom company Orange, you can use it regardless of whether you are an Orange customer or with another operator.
Once you open the application, you can start the configuration process. You have the option to authorize the application to collect your statistical data. However, we recommend disabling this feature. Disabling it does not prevent you from using the application. To activate it, you need to go to your settings, then to call blocking and identification, and finally enable the Orange Téléphone application.
Now that we have activated the application, we are protected. We will be notified whenever a malicious number appears on our phone. The app will indicate whether the call is malicious or telemarketing. We can also report phone numbers in our call history as malicious to contribute to the general database and help the community avoid spam.
To complete the configuration of the application, go to your settings, then to my settings. The first thing we recommend is disabling automatic search from your clipboard. By doing this, the application will not have access to your notes. In the blocking settings, you can enable automatic blocking of identified malicious or telemarketing numbers. You can also block a number automatically when you report it as malicious or telemarketing.
Once you have completed these steps, you can consider yourself protected from unwanted calls. However, you may still see telemarketing or spam numbers in your call history. If you encounter a suspicious number, such as a health insurance scam, you can report it within the app. Select the number, choose the option to share, and then identify the number as malicious. This information will contribute to the anti-spam database and prevent others from falling victim to such scams. You can also choose to block the number, ensuring you will no longer be bothered by it.
