Hey, what’s up guys? So, you have a Sony Bravia smart TV and you’re wondering how to download applications. Well, let me show you how. The first thing you need to do is go to the homepage. Many of you are probably searching on the internet for ways to download apps directly on the Sony Bravia TV itself. So, if I go to all applications here, these are all the apps that you have. Basically, this Sony Bravia TV is not an Android TV. With Android TV, you have the Google Play Store where you can download any app you want. This Sony TV runs on a Linux-based operating system. So, what you see here is what you get. If you delete an app, the only way to get it back is by resetting the TV. But you only have a few apps, and they don’t know what they’re missing. I didn’t want to get rid of it because it’s actually a very good TV, but I wanted more options. So, if you want apps on this TV, what are your options? You need to buy another device. You can either buy an Apple TV, which connects via the HDMI port at the back of your TV, or you can buy an Android box, which is cheap. You can also get an Amazon Fire TV Stick with a remote, which you plug into the HDMI port, or you can go ahead and get a Roku TV, which also connects to the HDMI port. Now, which one should you get? The most expensive is by far the Apple TV. Personally, I would recommend either getting the Fire TV Stick 4K or the Roku. These are still fairly cheap. The Android TV box is also cheap, but I’ve had a lot of issues with it. These two seem to work much better and are more stable. For example, let me just go ahead and plug in my Fire TV Stick into my Sony Bravia TV. Ready to use. It’s a 4K Fire TV Stick. It’s all you need. You have the remote that you plug into your HDMI port and you plug it into your TV’s USB port or a wall outlet to power it properly. So, I just plugged in my Amazon Fire TV Stick here just to give you a quick idea of what it looks like. So, I just changed to the right HDMI port and you can see here. If we go to apps, I mean, you can see and we’ll go to featured, go to categories, and for example, if I wanted to search, I wanted to download Sling. I would just look under the movies and TV category and let’s see. There it is, there are links. So, anyway, you get tons of additional apps, but again, you have to buy another device.
